EDO-242

Dioxin purification treatment for equipment used in environmental testing

The problem of waste generation arises all over the world as economies develop.
In today's sustainable society, facing air pollution caused by organic compounds such as dioxins in the incineration process and industrial activities that are said to be increasing demand for combustion energy is unavoidable.

EDO-242 is a dedicated homeothermic tank for removing organic compounds from instruments used in analysis.
The maximum processing temperature of 500℃ vaporizes and removes harmful substances adhering to the sample, which are then collected by the exhaust filter, protecting the user from being discharged indoors.

High-temperature cleaning of equipment

Clean air introduced through a HEPA filter circulates within the tank, vaporizing contaminants and chemicals adhering to glassware and ceramics at high temperatures of 400 〜500℃.

Door locking mechanism

The door locks as soon as driving begins and cannot be opened while driving. The next door to be opened is a safety design that unlocks after the tank temperature has cooled to below 100℃.

Clean air intake and exhaust

Activated carbon filters and HEPA filters are installed in both the intake and exhaust paths, ensuring that pollutants are not discharged from inside the tank or outside the vessel.

High-temperature heat treatment up to 500℃ vaporizes and pyrolyzes organic compounds such as dioxins, and then purifies the generated gases and fine particles.
In typical processing methods, smoke and fine particles generated during high-temperature processing are directly exhausted.
On the other hand, EDO-242 employs a structure that purifies harmful gases and particulate matter generated at high temperatures, preventing those gases from being released to the outside, thus keeping the surrounding area a safe and clean environment.

Many organic compounds vaporize or pyrolyze in the range of 100 ~500℃. Alcohols and organic solvents volatilize at around 100 ~200℃, while plastics, rubber, and resins undergo thermal decomposition and gasification at around 300 ~500℃. This device makes it possible to significantly reduce the organic components in the sample.
Therefore, it is used in research facilities, testing laboratories, factories, etc. for the pretreatment of instruments containing organic compounds.

Intake filter

Clean air is supplied by passing the outside air introduced into the tank through activated carbon filters and HEPA filters.
After a period of pre-cleaning, the tank is clean and then the temperature is raised.

exhaust filter

Vaporized harmful substances and drug particles are expelled through a water-cooled cooler along with hot air. The exhaust path is equipped with activated carbon filters (AC) and HEPA filters, ensuring that fine particles are not discharged to the outside. This results in clean exhaust and ensures user safety.

Temperature overflow prevention device

Two anti-over-the-top devices prevent accidents.
- If the tank temperature becomes abnormal, an alarm will sound and operation will stop.
- If the temperature regulator fails and becomes uncontrollable, an independent anti-overrise device separate from the control circuit will activate and an alarm will sound to stop operation.

Abnormal temperature prevention device

If the heater chamber reaches 700℃ or higher due to a device failure, an alarm will sound and the system will stop operating.

Sensor anomaly detection

An alarm will sound and stop operation if the temperature sensor fails.
Instruments crucial for temperature control prevent equipment from running out of control.

Fan motor malfunction

If a malfunction occurs in the blower motor, the motor and temperature control will stop and the heater circuit will be shut off, preventing the risk of fire and other hazards.

Ground fault breaker

Senses a power leakage in the equipment and turns off the main power supply.
The electrical circuit is shut off, preventing the user from being electrocuted.

Heater abnormality detection

An alarm will sound and stop operation when the current level drops due to a broken heater or other reason.

Door locking mechanism

The door is locked to prevent it from being opened while driving or if the tank temperature is above 100℃. This safety design ensures that the door cannot be opened after operation or when the vehicle is interrupted unless the tank is 100℃ or less.

Cooler water level detection

The high-temperature exhaust air from inside the tank is cooled by a water-cooled cooler.
If this water level is insufficient or if the exhaust temperature becomes abnormal due to a malfunction in the cooler, an alarm will sound and the operation will stop.
